Our history
Phyto Compagnon started out as a family project in the interests of our favorite fur balls.
The Phyto Compagnon adventure began in 2004 on the initiative of Rémi and Stéphane LIARD, two brothers with a passion for animals, nature and the benefits of phytotherapy plants. Their aim: to offer the widest possible range of phytotherapy products dedicated exclusively to pets. But that’s not all: more than simply offering their products, their main aim was to provide the best possible support.
That’s why the Phyto Compagnon team is at your disposal to advise and guide you in your choice of products and dosage for your pet, and why we’re always on hand to monitor your pet’s treatment.
Jacqueline Peker, godmother of Phyto Compagnon
From the outset, Rémi and Stéphane wanted to surround themselves with professionals from the animal world and plant science, to develop products that were totally in tune with the needs of pets. As fate would have it, it was Jacqueline Peker’s path they crossed in 2004, and since then she has continued to honor Phyto Compagnon with her support. A true collaborator, friend and ambassador of our company, she has always been at Phyto Compagnon’s side in the development of each of its specialties.
? A few words about our expertise...
From time immemorial to the present day, people have used numerous plants not only to keep themselves healthy, but also to care for their animals.
Animals themselves practice instinctive phytotherapy: couch grass, for example, is appreciated by our domestic carnivores, who “graze” on it to cleanse their stomachs, reproducing an ancestral behavior that enabled animals to free their stomachs from the indigestible remains of their prey.
Nowadays, thanks to modern knowledge and new forms of presentation, our pets can benefit from high-quality phytotherapy in complete safety, provided, of course, that the dosages and precautions for use of the remedies are scrupulously respected.
That’s why, for over 15 years now, has been developing, producing and distributing a complete range of food supplements, whose effectiveness has been proven year after year. The compositions of each of our products have been studied in collaboration with phytotherapists and our veterinarian specialized in holistic medicine, and chosen to offer you the most relevant synergies between the selected plants.
We offer natural products presented mainly in the following 3 forms:
– Glycerol macerates of buds for gamma therapy
These products are less concentrated and contain alcohol of plant origin. They can only be used in small quantities, but these are sufficient to be effective. Moreover, buds are plant parts highly concentrated in various active ingredients with a broad spectrum of action (growth factors, vitamins, trace elements, etc.). Buds are embryonic tissues and represent the beginning of life, making them particularly suitable for their many virtues.
– Dry forms: capsules and tablets
They are obtained from powders derived from plant extraction techniques. Their composition and active ingredient content can be standardized. These galenic forms are easy to administer.
– The traditional liquid form
The liquid form represents the historical form of phytotherapy. Traditionally, it is obtained by infusion, by pouring boiling water over the tender parts of the plant (leaves, flowers) and leaving to infuse for a certain length of time to extract its active ingredients.
